An educator, avid reader, technical writer, amateur musician, gardener, landscaper, singer, animal lover, psychology enthusiast and coffee drinker, Barbara's interests are very broad and all-encompassing.
Barbara received her Bachelors of Family and Social Relations in 2000 from the University of Windsor. She went on to complete her Masters of Education at Wayne State University in 2002, and Bachelor of Education at the University of Windsor in 2003. She has gone on to complete several additional qualifications from York, Queens, and OISE of Toronto including her Honours Specialist in Special Education. She has worked for the GECDSB steadily since 2005 in a range of roles in Primary, Junior, and Special Education divisions.
Barbara began photography as a hobby in 2010 and has used her role as an educator to pass on her knowledge and skills to her students. Her work can be seen in the book River Traffic due to be released October 2016. She currently lives with her boyfriend, three dogs, a cat, and a fish, in Windsor where she can often be found with a coffee cup in her hand.
